campsiteCamping is wonderful for enjoying the environment and we all need to ensure that it stays as natural and unpolluted as possible. We’ve gathered together some important tips for having as little impact on the environment as possible while having an enjoyable and safe trip.

*Use designated, existing sites and tracks to help minimise any damage to the environment.

*Respect any rules that ban pets.

*At sites where pets are allowed make sure you keep it under control at all times and clean up after it.

*Pay attention to any quiet hours at the campsite and respect them. If you want to play loud music go away from the site to do it. For large groups it is a good idea to find a more isolated area of the site to camp.

*Respect any speed limits.

*Use rubbish bins provided or take away your rubbish.

*Do not take wood from any standing trees, only gather fallen branches and twigs.

*Some sites have designated areas for camp fires. Respect them.

*Respect wildlife and do not feed or frighten the animals.

*Do not leave cigarette butts around.

*Be thoughtful when using any campsite facilities, leaving showers and bathroom areas clean.
